Family Matters: Plays about Family Changes is part of the “Get into Character” series. The book contains two illustrated plays. The first is about what happened when Brandon’s dad moved out. The second play is about when Tanya’s family has to downsize and move into a small apartment that prohibits pets and what happens to the family dog. The plays are just a small glimpse at what a couple of “family changes” could be—but they are not a complete representation of what kids who are dealing with these situations are going through. For example, Brandon never tells anyone what happened.
