The Lost Broomstick - Children's Literature
Part of the “Tadpoles” series, this guided reading level B book entertains new readers with an amusing tale. A young witch named Tess has lost her broomstick. How she lost it is not explained, but the broomstick seems to have a mind of its own. Found by a series of individuals, it makes its escape each time. Finally, a black cat named Cass finds the broomstick, and he manages to bring it back to Tess. All is well again with this little witch as she and her cat Cass once again ride into the dark on her broomstick. There is nothing frightening about the witch, so young readers will just have a laugh.
