Harry and the Horse - Children's Literature

Part of the “Tadpoles” series this Guided Reading Level C book entertains new readers with an amusing tale. Harry has gone to the fair and he is enjoying his ride on the Merry Go Round. It is magical as Harry’s imagination takes him around faster and faster until he and the horse sail off over the treetops and under the sea. When he gets off he proclaims that it was magical and perhaps it was as the illustrator has put a few birds and some seaweed on Harry’s wooden horse. It reminded me how much I enjoyed the Merry Go Round when I was a kid and in my case, I always wanted to be on the outside to catch the brass ring.
