Freddy‘s Teddy - Children's Literature
Part of the “Tadpoles” series, this Guided Reading Level C book entertains new readers with an amusing tale. Freddy’s Teddy bear was losing his stuffing because he had a rip in one of his seams. Can anything be done? Mother says “off to the hospital” and then she found some stuffing and with needle and thread she fixed Little Teddy. However, when she was done, Teddy’s name has to be changed because he was no longer little, he was now Big Teddy. The illustrations show a very contemporary mom in a completely modern setting.
