Taylor Swift - Children's Literature
Taylor Swift knew from a young age that she wanted to be a songwriter and singer. Her parents, recognizing Swift’s tremendous talent, began entering little Taylor in local singing contests and even moved to Nashville when Swift was eleven years old in order to provide her more exposure to country music producers and recording companies. Swift signed a contract with RCA when she was only thirteen years old, but moved on to two other recording companies in the following two years. Swift was the youngest person to be hired full-time as a songwriter and has won numerous awards for writing as well as singing.
