Teen Pregnancy - Children's Literature

The negative consequences of teen pregnancy are significant, including curtailed education and significantly lower lifetime earnings for the parent; this is also true for their children, who also experience higher incidences of teen pregnancy and incarceration. Puberty, described as the threshold of reproductive maturity, involves significant physical and emotional changes that stress teenage coping skills. All options for dealing with an unanticipated pregnancy are discussed, and the individual’s right to choose is consistently reinforced.
