Animals move like this - Children's Literature

The table of contents indicates that there is a lot of information in this book. Young readers learn how various animals move, but first there is a page that explains why animals move. They need to hunt food, hide from danger and like humans they often move just to play and have fun. The quiz on the next page shows five animals and asks how they move. Next readers meet animals that have two or more legs and even those who use their tails like another arm or leg (spider monkey and orangutan). How do feet help animals move? Hoofs are shaped so that certain animals such as bighorn sheep can climb on rocky slopes.
