This is a non-narrative, nonfiction book about the cultural traditions in Russia. The book is clearly laid out with a contents page at the beginning and a glossary and index at the end. Each two-page spread introduces another cultural aspect of Russia that includes “Did You Know?” fact spotlights as well as photographs to show the reader what the tradition actually looks like. The photographs are a highlight for this text because they allow the reader to see the places and experience the culture even though they are not able to be there.
