Jungle Crash! - Children's Literature

The crash that you are hearing in the jungle is the sound of falling trees which means that the jungle is disappearing. Readers learn that animals and plants no longer have homes and that trees which have been growing for years are cut down in minutes. Of course we need trees to provide materials for homes and furniture and paper, but there are ways to create sustainable forests. The illustrations show the land being clear cut and bulldozers creating what will apparently be farmland. This decimation of the jungles and forests is creating endangered species like the harpy eagles and orangutans.
